I work from home for a company, been doing so for 8 years now, so before covid. I went into it kicking and screaming because I was used to going to an office to work.

But, I, like many people are paid to do a job, not simply work 40 hours. Some weeks I work way more than 40, and some weeks I work less. As long as my job is taken care of, the hours are insignificant unless of course it's retail or something specific to the hours you are there.

Place I used to work stopped giving out vacation days, and employees there have unlimited vacation for the same reason, do your job and as long as your job gets done, that's all the company cares about.

That's not why they got rid of vacation days.
