Golf Lessons

I just started playing last fall, and know that I probably should have started with lessons as I obviously have created some bad habits. I signed up for a few lessons but was curious if anyone else on here had similar experience?
Particularly how many lessons I may need / expect to break some of the habits and see improvement.

This depends on a few factors:
1) Are you remotely athletic?
2) will you accept instruction and coaching?
3) will you commit to practice?

I had been playing a while but was self taught and never had any good fundamentals. I took 3 lessons and they helped me more than i could ever tell you

See if they will do a package. I started out playing last year and got lessons a few months in. You will probably start with fundamentals (grip, alignment) and then move on to more specific things depending on your swing. You will most likely do a little worse after each lesson as you integrate things, then see improvement a couple weeks later as they become habits. Definitely get a lot of range time after your lessons if possible.

Make EXTRA effort not fall back into old habits while practicing after your lessons. It’s time to stop practice session when you just start flailing away at the ball.

Everyone can benefit from lessons… key part is dedicating time to practice what was learned in each lesson. You need time between lessons to develop those skills.

Best advice I can give you do not go beat 100 balls a day with no plan. Do slow good swings in front of a mirror. Plenty of great online content as well but pick one or two guys and stick with them. One instructors back swing my not jive with another's downswing so always try to find consistent teachers . I heavily recommend athletic motion golf. Sean and Mike know their shite and teach about as basic of a swing as you can get but its solid.

Start with a proper grip, easily found on You Tube. The concept of hitting the ball is basically a throw. The major issue for most people is using hands and arms and not rotating. Lessons will help just find a teacher that is willing to work with your physical ability and not a person that teaches one swing.

Depends on so many things
You need to get on film with someone who knows what they are talking about
Club speed and so many other things come into play
