Keegan-Michael Key as new host. He would be good and he has alimony payments to make.

quote:

In the judgement, the Key and Peele star has been ordered to pay Blaise, an actress and dialect coach, $34,000 per month as well as 21 percent “of his gross annual income from all sources in excess of $2,153,846,” according to the documents, but “the total spousal support payable from [Key] to [Blaise] each year shall not exceed the sum of $700,00 gross.”

quote:

According to the documents, Key, who filed for divorce on Dec. 31, 2015, is obligated to pay Blaise spousal support “until the first of the following: the death of either party, [Blaise’s] remarriage, or further Court order.”

I wonder if they would let Kenan Thompson have the gig?

I don't think Wheel makes a diversity pick for host unless it's Maggie Sajak or an "approachable" black guy like Michael Strahan or Alfonso Ribiero.

Out of the Wheel and Jeopardy duo, Wheel is the most watched now since Alex Trebek's passing and the majority of viewers skew older. Both of my grandparents watched Wheel and Jeopardy and now my mom who is in her mid 60s watches every single night. If Wheel's host is a "woke pick", viewership will tank.

When I was a baby, my parents lived in an apartment in Nashville. One of our neighbors was the local TV weatherman. Sometimes my parents would bump into him on the way to work and ask him what the weather was going to be like today and he would say, "no idea". He was a very outgoing guy and would sometimes host get togethers for other members of the news station, including a young reporter who became the first black female anchor at the station.

The weatherman was Pat Sajak and the reporter was Oprah Winfrey. Five years later they were both stars.

I wonder if he'll get "one for the road" from Vanna?
