I don't think this thread is gonna get anchored regardless of outcome.

After undergoing additional imaging, Pete Alonso has been diagnosed with a bone bruise and a sprain of his left wrist. He has been placed on the IL. A typical return to play for this type of injury is approximately 3-4 weeks.

Not cheering for injuries, just sitting back and enjoying the karma that came to the polar bear.

That might be the single most encouraging stat I've seen from the Braves all season.

Excited to see AJSS.

Braves are 15-5 against the NL East. Let’s keep it going.

Hmm. Maybe Albies and the Braves staff know more than we do after all. Who knows.

It looks to me like he might have changed his stance from the left side just slightly in the last couple of weeks. I can’t quite put my finger on it, though. Maybe his front leg is a little straighter or something. I’d have to see a side by side. Or I could be imagining it.

Big game for Smith-Shawver today. Hope he shoves and can fill that 5th starter role moving forward. Soroka’s not quite ready. I’m not sure Shuster is really ready, especially when he starts seeing teams for the 2nd time. And count me in the group that’s a little concerned about the drop in Strider’s velo. I feel like we need another pen piece, but AA may be forced to use assets to go get a starter in a huge seller’s market.

If he can center the ball from the left side like he does the right side like Chipper was talking about last night, he can be one of the best switch-hitters in the game.

That Muts reliever found out the hard way just how hard Riley hits the ball off of the bat.
