went to the Browns-Saints game with my stepdad in 1999.

Saints led the whole game and the browns scored on a hail mary on the last play. A Tipped pass in the endzone.

We picked that game to go to because... you might have guessed it... felt like we'd win that one.
If I'm not mistaken, that was the "expansion" Browns first franchise win. It was like deja vu for longtime Saints fans that witnessed both first time franchise wins against the Saints (Tampa Bay) and Hail Mary/Big Ben Right (Falcons) against the Saints.

I think 1980 was the worst for me, went 1-15, during the season Times-Picayune/State Times ran a competition of who would be the Saints first win, I think they started when we were 0-7 or so. We didn't win until beating the Jets in week 15. I was a young kid then and big sports fan already and actually won part of the prize pool by picking week 15 against the Jets. It was like $5 or something.

We're not as near as in worse shape as we were back then.
