After Floyd gave up the the homer, he allows a double. Then another reaches base. Strike-‘em-out-throw-‘em-out. Then that fly out to left to send us into the delay with momentum, despite a 1-0 deficit. I know they scored 2 more to make it 3-0 in the 4th, but if we go into what became a nearly 3 hour delay with a larger deficit, I’m not sure we come back out with the same juice.

Although Floyd only gave us 3 innings, those 3 outs in the 4th could not have been any bigger.

Love to see this team not just slug their way to victory, but find different ways to win. Small-ball won + dominant pitching won us Game 1. Big outs and the long-ball lead us to victory in Game 2.

Absolutely love where this team is at right now. They’re locked in and playing like a fearless, tough baseball team. LFGEAUX!!!

Floyd competed. He pitched well and got out of that jam which I agree was huge. He most likely would have given us 2 more innings if not for the delay but hey it was a great time for Hurd to step up and have a great outing.

Lost in that inning is Tre made a scoop that saved a run where he was definitely the only player on the roster who could have made that play. Tre needed to be back on 1st weeks ago.
