Again, they have tried pushing college baseball many times in the past, I can remember as far back as the 80's ESPN showing regular season games a lot and advertising the hell out of them......they just did not get ratings every time they have tried and if "pushing the frick" out of something helped ratings the WNBA would be doing great.

There is a disconnect here because we have grown to love the sport, you can thank Skip for that. In the early 80's baseball was the same here as it still is now at 90% of schools in the country - a minor sport no one really watches or cares about. It took time but Skip made it relevant.

It just isn't in the rest of the country. And honestly it very unlikely it ever will be. And that's o.k. It should not compromise our enjoyment of it.
