I know right, the history between the two schools only dates back to 1899.

Not saying I love the series but to say it’s got zero history is just false. 61 total meetings. LSU leads the series 35-23-3. Which is more than most of our other conference foes.

The two played almost every year in the 80s and 90s.

The two would rattle off win streaks but as of late it’s been back and forward.

Sumlin couldn’t beat LSU. Jimbo comes along and the series becomes much more interesting. LSU has not won at Kyle Field since Jimbo took over. A&M has not won at TS since Jimbo took over.

7OT 74-72 fiasco.

Burrow thrashes them 50-7 in his final game in TS. The infamous “Burreaux” game.

Aggies win a boring grind it out game in the Covid year.

LSU knocks them off dramatic fashion in a walkoff TD in Orgeron’s last game in tiger stadium.

Top 5 west division champs LSU roll into town against a 3-7 Aggie team and a&m dominates the tigers. The struggles in CS continue for LSU.

You don’t realize it until you break it down but LSU/A&M is definitely heating up with Houston being ground zero. These two fan bases overlap tremendously in Texas and especially Houston. Also within the O&G sector. Hate it or love it, LSU/A&M are rivals.

It’s a natural fit more so than Arkansas and that hideous golden boot. A&M and Arkansas is another forced rivalry. A god awful neutral site one at that. Those two fan bases do not mingle nearly as much as LSU/A&M fans. Hell, LSU fans mingle w Aggie fans more than any other sec fan base not named Bama, State or Ole Miss. maybe even Florida.

Ummm...you're wrong. LSU has played Texas A & M more times than they've played Auburn and the series dates back to 1899.
