So what were you planning to come out of pocket vs what they are asking you to come out of pocket now? Were you supposed to pay $9000 out of pocket and now they want you to pay $10,500 out of pocket? Cause that’s a lot just to cover OEM increase. Wouldn’t your car be totaled at that rate?

Also, you shouldn’t be paying any labor. Labor should be the same whether OEM or aftermarket.

In any event, most of these estimates have a timeline for when the quote is good for.

Cost went from around 11,375 to 12,850. Insurance is paying about 11,150 after supplement. Labor only went up 2 hours. Majority of increase was parts. So actually I am paying about $1700 out of pocket but I accounted for some of that prior because I opted for OEM parts versus what insurance would pay for.
