I like the underlying push for traditionalism among young people if we can strip out all the other trappings. It's just muddied with all the social media stuff that comes along with it.

I'll concede that it may be impossible for those ideas to spread absent social media given how this generation operates. But in theory I suppose converts to it would then abandon it (or minimize it), so it just seems a little odd for a movement centered on discarding modern culture to be evangelized via social media influencers

it would be one thing if the movement was to embrace the ideology or purpose behind it, but like everything else these days, it's probably all for likes and views

1,000%. It’s why the influencers dress like it’s the 1950’s.

I think for most it is. Women are burnt the hell out. Can’t be a great mom and a great employee, it just isn’t possible.

I know quite a few families who don’t do birth control, have lots of kids, mom stays at home, have gardens, etc, and none of them post about it on social media.

the vast majority of the social media stuff is performative. it's a space for losers to assert moral superiority. they're not actually "traditional" or "conservative", they just picked it up as an excuse for their shortcomings.

the reason i'm single and have no friends is because i'm not like the other girls.
