I leave the pass with a defined game plan and it's usually blown to shite before I even get to the first stop.
Just point the boat out and go. If there is a real science to this, I haven't figured it out yet. Get lucky and stop at the rig that hasn't been hammered, or find a nice secret underwater structure.
It won't be a secret for long though. If you hold a spot and start fishing, people will come ride right up on top of you and mark their GPS and then take off again. Damn frustrating, but snapper being open only on the weekends makes it unavoidable unless you have enough boat to get out past the riff raff.
