I gladly vote for fans of the dysfunctional Dallas Cowgirls who for some reason felt they would be able to coast to Super Sunday without much resistance.

dallas is six and four this year and has probably had more injuries, if not definitely top five on most injured teams this year, while playing in the toughest division in football

id say dallas should easily be at 8-2 at worst right now

They should be 5-5 because they should've lost to Cincy.

Reigning SB champs and only one loss this season.

That's a load of crap. Saints fans have a hell of a lot more than that (cockiness, arrogance, etc.). Go back and check any preseason Super Bowl Prediction thread on here and you'll see at least 90% of the posters picking the Saints to at the very least get there if not all out win it.

People act like Cowboys fans are the only ones who have been served a slice of humility by the season so far when Saints fan have had to eat just as big, if not a bigger, piece due to their early season struggles.

Quit being a dipshit Ron. I grew up a Cowboys fan. There is no hate. The Cowboys have the most delusional fanbase. It's similar to Notre Dame's in college. Past success and recent bonehead moves has caused the program/franchise to tank.

All of which I understand, yet that has nothing to do with the fact that the last few years they have choked in the playoffs and still their fans feel like they will cake walk to the Super Bowl each season making their fans what I would call delusional. The original post didn't ask for excuses why they have been a diappointment this season.

How's having your team penciled in for the Super Bowl only to see Brady go down minutes into the season for humility?

How could this be any other team than the Dallas Cowboys?

Boom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pull for them but I am not a real Cowboy fan like the guy who sits next to me at work. Anyone who thinks Bama fans are dellusional with all of the 12 National Championships talk has to know Cowboy fans spout off about their five Super Bowl Championships the same way. If you remind them that they haven't won a playoff game in over 10 years they ask you how many Super Bowls has your team won. Until someone else gets one, we LSU fans may get that way with the two Crystal balls.

There is no doubt that both have been flops. The main difference is Dallas was being handed the SB trophy going into the season by all media and fans, even though they haven't won a playoff game in a decade. I am by no means defending the Saints, nor did I think they would win anything. I predicted 10-6 this year and 13-3 for the Cowboys.

if the cowboys dont get credit for poor play due to injuries, you cant say they should have lost this game just because. it works both ways

dude, we went 5-11 for three straight years, how the frick are you going to say that we had a delusional fan base. EVERYONE knew we would suc those years. dallas should have made the super bowl last year, and returned just about the same team this year.

they shite the bed in the giants game and lost it. not much more to say there.

They certainly weren't here but the Saints fans were hoisting Brees & Company up pretty damn high before the season.

Yes. Giant fans yell a lot. So what?

The Giants have been in two SBs this decade: a SB against the Ravens and later they beat the only 18-0 team in history. The Giants have a very solid franchise. It is reasonable for Giant fans to expect successful seasons from them.

To call Giant fans "the most delusional" in the NFL is absolutely preposterous.

Let me guess. You think you get a fair, unbiased assessment of LSU football on The Rant too, huh? Geez...

same as all the Saints fans back in the Katrina/Aaron Brooks days

Most reasonable Saints fans just hope for wild card births

so what you are saying is that dallas choked right?

when you choke you are usually the better team, therefore meaning you should have won correct?

they already destroyed the packers, and were one choke away from playing them again for a super bowl chance

so by my account, dallas SHOULD have been in the super bowl last year

and no dallas fan thought they would make the super bowl the year romo dropped the ball, come on

Saints fan are not the most delusional. To be a Saints fan is to combine dreams of glory with fatalistic pessimism. All true Saints fans hope for the best but expect the worst ("They're the Saints -- they'll find a way to lose"), reminiscent of fans of the pre-'55 Brooklyn Dodgers.
