that river is nothing to frick around with, I can think of a few better places for recreational boating

Pardon my ignorance, but I was unaware that recreational boating was allowed on the Mississippi River. Is it just certain locations?

A boat is a boat, no rule about private vessels being on the river, though I wouldn't want to be out there in any sort of small boat.

We would wakeboard in the Intracoastal between the LA1 bridge and railroad bridge and even that could get chaotic with barge traffic.
