Texas' solution to the pandemic was simply to shut everything down. This was the case pretty much statewide, except for underpopulated rural districts. There was a time, from April to June of 2020, that Lina Hidalgo was fining Harris County residents $1000. for appearing in public without a mask! And Gov. Abbott ordered the arrest of a salon owner in Dallas for opening and operating her business.
One time during the craziness of 2020, I had to travel 120 miles to Kosse in rural Limestone County to get a haircut!

No he did not you lying piece of shite. His order was bastardized by the piece of shite Dallas County judge and Abbott came back and clarified the order saying nobody should be held in jail because of it.
