He definitely gets consistent mid-week appearances. MS State was a bad outing can't argue that... but he's got a total of 6.2 IP (I believe) in SEC play. That's less than 25% of his IP on the season.

I just wonder how much of a role he'll play in the SEC/NCAA tournaments

Because he's a midweek player. Our bullpen is so bad we might consider him a day 3 guy which says it all in itself. He has no business starting anywhere on LSU's team but we don't have many other options. If you put him there on the mound you better be ready to reinforce him with the bats. Can't be worse than Little.

I sure miss the days we had Nola, Gausman, and Eades as our 3 starters. We'd be bitching about Eades but he still had games where he had REALLY good stuff.

Not really. My argument would be Jay getting too cute with pitching matchups and taking him out the game Sunday too soon. At the point of the game he was in we needed someone to get through some outs and he was doing decent at it. Then you bring in Ack and he walks 2 and gives up a double to get them going even more on the comeback. I didn't like that decision and wish he would have let Money continue. He only threw 18 pitches.
