I'm a fan of my old haunt, Come Back Inn on W. Metairie. I think it comes with a pork chop or sausage and a small side salad. My suggestion is get it with the hot sausage (Patton's I believe) and an Italian side salad.

lived 3 blocks away and ate there weekly growing up in the 70's ~ 80's. The CBI roast beef po-boy and onion rings are solid.
