A family moved in up the road from us last year.
They came over, introduced themselves and explained they left orange county to raise their little ones in a better environment.
I told them that was fine, but to leave their liberal ideologies back in California.
I didn't hear from them for 6 months, until he asked for help repairing his water main.
We get along great these days.

LOL… Orange County is conservative AF. It’s in the top 7 most conservative metro areas in the whole country versus San Francisco, which is the most liberal metro area in the whole country. It’s even more conservative than the rest of OC in the beach cities, where I live. My friends here are as conservative as my friends in the Deep South, if not more conservative. It’s why people from L.A.. hate OC. It’s definitely more conservative than New Orleans, Baton Rouge or Shreveport… it’s more conservative here than Huntsville, Alabama, where I grew up. There is almost no crime where I live, barely any “Cultcha.” It’s clean. Weather is perfect. I’m 1 mile from the beach. It’s beautiful. I can leave my doors unlocked and often do. The traffic isn’t even as bad here as it is in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Literally the only drawback to living here is the cost. It’s expensive but it’s worth it and it keeps the riff raff out. I’m glad I moved back here. You won’t ever catch me even thinking about living in L.A. or SF though.
