Ferrari is a world away from BMW and than get away with the stupid pricing for 2 main reasons:

1. the average cost for options for a Ferrari runs in the $80k to $200k range so $4k kinda disappears. Gotta have the right options or you might get relegated to the #2 lot at a Cars and Coffee meet.

2. Their demand is so high that depending on the model either the dealer or Ferrari itself chooses who can buy their new cars. The best thing can do for sales when your clients are wealthy is tell them they can't buy something. They start throwing money at you like a rapper with 1,000 singles in a titty bar.
