High blood pressure itself doesn’t cause clots. Maybe he has A-fib and had a stroke.

High blood pressure is the biggest modifiable risk factor for stroke.

Over the long term, it causes plaque to accumulate in arteries. Some of these plaques will erode/"rupture" and cause clots to form with complete arterial occlusion.

I surmise that he had a basilar artery occlusion that required intervention. That's the most common type of stroke that would require "resuscitation" on scene

This is wrong.

High blood pressure cause’s atherosclerosis/plaque. Eventually the plaque erodes or ruptures and activates platelets by reacting to shite in the blood

Activated platelets form a thrombus (clot). This thrombus narrows arteries and if it’s enough results in acute ischemic strokes.

High cholesterol mixed with high blood pressure makes this even worse
