They just posted a very short snippet of a new song so we should be expecting some news pretty soon on a new album. I'm looking forward to what they offer next. They've been one of the most consistent yet long-lasting rock bands of the last 25 years.

World's Gonna End (NSFW)

ETA

First single released. Emotion Sickness

Album out June 16

Been almost six years. Can't wait. Thought Homme and company would release another Crooked Vultures album since then, but no dice there either.

Same. I hope they eventually do it.

Hard to tell which direction the song is going to go lyrically from that clip. I hope it’s a jab at climate change freaks.

Emotion Sickness….
Apparently single out already in NZ and will drop here tomorrow.
Can’t wait.
(Also can’t find a link but reading it’s somewhere between Villians and Era Vulgaris)

I’d rather it be somewhere between Rated R and Songs for the Deaf.

Saw them play QOTSA in its entirety at One Eyed Jacks years ago. I need another show like that.

That must have been fricking amazing. No telling how many times I have listened to that one from start to finish.

I saw them do the same at La Zona Rosa in Austin...probably the same tour back in 2011 I think. It was awesome! Homme came out with a bottle of liquor and was taking swigs.

It is up there near the top of my list. He took requests after they went through the album. Maybe one of the most crowded shows I have ever attended as well. I’d do it again.

i've seen QOTSA twice. once at hangout in 2014 and again in 2018 at the saenger theatre in nola. two of the best rock shows i've ever seen.

this new song is incredible. for those who complain that "rock is dead" aren't looking.

I agree. It gets better with each listen. Whoever said the new record is a mix of Era Vulgaris and Villains is pretty spot on with this song. It's got the thump of Era with some styling from Villains. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

the way the off beat rhythm transitions into a straightforward one and back again seamlessly is impressive. the writing is great and production is classic QOTSA

I’m not giving up on it, but to be completely honest I couldn’t even make it all the way through the song on first listen. I’ll do it on headphones when I get home from work.

Still remember the first time I heard The Bronze , still love this song. And always really liked Alfredo Hernandez as well. Gene Trautmann also as far as QOTSA drummers not named Grohl.
