Basketball isn’t like football with only P5 programs winning every year. If anything it is equal. 2 of the final 4 teams were not P5 programs in 2023.
Murray state won 31 games the year before, was in the tournament and he brought with him an NBA quality player who was the leagues MVP they played in.

Go LOOK AT THE FINAL FOR TEAMS FOR FUN. I did and the team from San Diego State had a FAR WORSE RECRUITING CLASS and yet they made it that far. They also had new players who were not rated as high as those at LSU.

This is NOT FOOTBALL. There were other teams and coaches that won their first year and yet here we are with McMahon.

Mulkey pulled a 6'5" center from Baylor, but luckily had another center and 5 or 6 other very quality players on the roster she inherited. Not to mention Alexis Morris followed her from her contact previously at Baylor.

To even compare what they started with is too stupid to even address. To claim MM had a "massive advantage" is just dumb.

Well yes, the highest rated players always win, right? Newsflash: SD State had a lower rated class than a lot of teams. I guess they all suck too.
