its from the doe on their efficiency standards.
Here is the link.
Basically it just makes a lot of models not usable driving up the prices of the ones you can use.
Thats the plan, make hydrocarbon too expensive so people dont have issues going renewable.
So when a liberal tells you they arent coming for your gas stoves, yes they are.

quote:
The Department of Energy (DOE) establishes energy-efficiency standards for certain appliances and equipment, and currently covers more than 60 different products. Authority to undertake this effort was granted by Congress, and DOE follows a four-phase process when reviewing existing and developing new standards. Each product page provides information on recent updates, current standards and test procedures, waivers, exceptions, and exemptions, statutory authority, and historical information.

On February 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) proposed an “energy efficiency standard” for gas cooking products. For those who are unaware, this is a blatant backdoor attempt to ban gas appliances—at least half of gas stove models sold in the United States today would not comply with this regulation according to DOE. The American people deserve answers to stop this draconian measure that would be detrimental for families, small businesses, and rural communities across our nation.
