I think she put it where she thought he should be. I like the show outside of Common’s stupid arse. Geez he’s bad.
First. Ferguson has to live right? I was thrown in the first episode when the two most famous people “died”. It was a pretty brilliant way to make the audience think the outside was fine. She is the main character I guess so I’m hoping she lives.

So there are a shite ton of silos. Why keep that secret? I would find it comforting knowing others were alive. It would suck not being able to visit them.

Or maybe all the other silo societies collapsed and went mad max feral. Maybe why this silo developed a deep State type entity to smash down anyone they considered an outside the box thinker. Maybe it’s just as simple as the saying from Men in Black. “A person is smart but people are panicky stupid creatures “. Keep the herd in the dark.

I have a dumb question. Why do those who go outside to clean have a fake imagine in their helmet? If you think about it, everyone associates going out to clean as a death sentence. Why not just let them see the harsh reality of the world outside? Going a step further, if you want to keep the silos inhabitants in line, why show them an image on a giant screen that projects this beautiful countryside? Wouldn’t that just make people want to go outside? Now if I’m looking out the window at a barren, desolate landscape day after day, I’m pretty motivated to keep my arse inside. Go outside and clean? Nah, f that. I’m good right here
