Is this just an opinion, or do you have actual inside information? I really don't think it is going to hurt as much as everyone thinks.

But you felt compelled to share your thoughts with us. Awesome.

The pickle about the co-DCs is that they are really good recruiters. The recruits are always talking about em, especially Mallory. I have faith in them as recruiters more than I do as coaches.
I'm in the camp that believes we need to look elsewhere for a SINGLE DC. At the same time I dont think they're the reason that we lose anyone.......if we actually do. McFarland was always a 3 way battle and he was always working against his mom......apparently she won.

well ok i guess all of you are correct and that our CoDC situation is not a turn off to the top recruits and that all the confusion and the irractic play and a team that is clearly angry at the coaches...but hey these two clown can sure recruit they can't coach worth s.... but recruits don't care about that do they...they don't care about playing for people that will maximize their talents and enhance the chemistry of the team instead of destroying it...but some of you guys are so smart....

This is why I think you may see Miles hire a single DC, but keep them on the staff. Their were rumors yesterday about Earl Lane leaving, which would free up a coaching spot and let Mallory and Peveto return to the position roles.
Also, someone said Mallory looks pretty beaten down, so maybe it would be a mutual thing.

Chris Davenport, Janzen Jackson, Kevin Minter, Mike Brockers.....any of those names ring a bell to you? All of them defensive players, all of them committed to LSU and the clowns we have at DC. So apparently they don't care as much as you think they do.

if Lane leaves, they will bring another guy in for the Dline.
Posted on 11/17/08 at 11:36 am to TxTiger25
you are correct they did commit but look how things have transpired over the past two months...look at the title "the last few important recruits".......are you impressed with what is going on with us? if you are not, then more than likely, the recruits are not either...what do you think?

About Mallory.......I couldn't see well but after the Troy TD in the second half Peterson (or "the future" as I like to call him) ran to the sideline and had some pretty heated words with a coach. Was that Mallory?
I noticed in that drive, #7 had his guys on lock down, playing tight, physical and knocking the Troy receivers off balance while everyone else kept playing 10 yards off of the WRs. They ran down and scored..........Peterson was PISSED. Anyone else observe that?

i am concerned about what i have seen with this team, the lack of coaching and leadership, the players being angry, the lack of chemistry the list goes on and on...that does not mean we can't correct the problems and get back to being a top 10 team...

I feel like the best thing to do is go the backs against the wall mentality and let things fly. That goes for the defense and Lee. Let the athleticism take over and go for it like the d did late the other night.
