More threads about melting than people actually melting. I don't see any "WTF, this guys a bum:?" threads. I think we made a solid pick, and yes, he was the best DT available.

This board melts after every draft pick lol. There were actually people on here last year saying Olave was too small T to play in the NFL..

I think the "melt" is really more a product of being burned by the last two DL picks (Davenport and Turner) and now taking a guy who missed multiple games in his college career with injury.

The Saints needed a DT. And unless they wanted to trade up this was probably the best guy at that position available at 29.

it for sure was.

But not many had Smith still being there at 29.
