What does society benefit from treating children with puberty blockers? Why should we, as adults, not step in and be the responsible ones that say "this is not right" when a prepubescent child has these whims?

Particularly a group that has such a high rate of depression and anxiety regardless of their state.
These are marginal kids, those who aren't accepted into norms. These kids are easy prey for predators.
