I heard Cole Cubelic on the radio saying they are really small on the OL and DL and will need a lot more bigger bodies to be competitive. It doesn't help that the PAC12 QB's this year are really good.

I been watching CU videos daily. The secondary was arse so yeah he would look good against them during spring game. Also a video during spring game of Travis Hunter playing WR blocking one of CBs almost into the damn stands. He doesn't even play WR that much. I would have let all they arse walk also. Lol

yeah he got some tape out there in hopes somebody would look at him. I saw their transfer portal class and they are bringing in a lot of bigger safeties from other power schools.

I watched some of their spring game, stuck in a restaurant on a soccer trip.... the players on the field looked bad. I mean bad bad. Prime is not coaching in the SWAC anymore and it's gonna be tough attracting enough real players there now that everyone can pay them.

vast majority were guys already at Colorado that hadn't left yet. Guy has transfers that haven't made it from Alabama, Clemson, Kentucky, Arkansas, etc. I heard that of the 83 or whatever that were on Colorado's 1-11 team, only 20 remain. That's like 63 kids gone. He has no choice but to hit the portal, but as you've seen with high school recrui5ing, that's what he's really looking to do, build from there.

I think their offense will end up being a fun unit this year and should have several 4 and 5 stars at QB, RB, and WR. He's loaded up at OL through the portal as well. Defensively, he's brought in a ton of guys, but God knows how good that unit is going to be. He already said before the spring game that the team you saw in that game is not going to be the same team come fall. That's good because it looked like a bunch of little kids running around.

As long as you're under 85, you can sign as many as you want.
Then here's the answer for the mass exodus. Prime is gonna raid the portal ad kids enter.

Anyone pretending he can't recruit is either lying or a moron.

Deion ran his 1s against his walk on 3s on both sides of the ball at the spring game.

Both O and D should have looked good as it was planned that way.

Put his 1s against his 1 defense or another schools 1s and different result.

There was smoke and mirrors in that spring game.

if you don’t want to be held accountable, Deion is not the coach for you.

The guy demand accountability. Typically guys like that are highly successful. You can wish him to fail because you don’t like him, but I would bet a lot that he’s successful.

He can recruit.
He is a high profile, charismatic, motivator type.
His ability to organize, plan and execute a program as a strategist, to develop and retain players for multiple years are all unproven and question marks.
LSU hired on of those a few years ago and, with a solid core of talent and a great DC it worked for two years…

I'm a Neon Deion fan, Coach Prime. Still don't think he ever makes it big in power 5. Would be fun if I'm wrong.

All of this. And I’ll add that he’s a good motivator, plus I don’t doubt he is a good coach. But running a program is completely different. Will he be successful? Maybe. Is it more likely to go poorly? Probably.

In Colorado’s defense though this really isn’t a bad situation. They get tons of publicity and if Deion crashes and burns and it sets you back a few years no one cares.
