I was on record that we should have drafted Garland that year, but his other major screwup and I also pointed this out at the time was not getting Lauri M for Ball. He passed on that twice.
My thinking was that we were devoid of 3 point shooting at the time and reading the tea leaves, you could see Zion was gonna be a major injury risk. So why not have an elite shooting big to take his spot when he misses games?
