Update question: Repair/resuscitate this mower battery?

It takes two wp10-12se.
It runs a cheap lawn mower. Can I just put two wp8-12se in it?
It’s just a different amp hour.
Instead of two 10s, I want two 8 amps.
Total 16 amps vs 20amps.
I’m able enough to clamp the wires back on. But is there some kind of fire risk?
It’s dead and they don’t sell them anymore.
Can a battery repair place new cells in it?
It is a neuton ce5

no, there is no fixing or repairing batteries, but all is not lost, follow steps below to find a battery that will replace it.
first, take the measurements and how much difference in height you can have for the new battery
then get the amp hour from the battery, and go search motorcycle/atv batteries on ebay that have the same or better amp hour ratings and search for batteries that match it, then from that list, pick one that will fit it. (ebay search example - "12ah motorcycle/atv batteries")
once you have the battery number that fits your needs you can search for that model battery locally or just order it from ebay

That battery does not look the same size as the one that I have in that mower.
Additionally, can I just unscrew the top and place new cells in?

no, that is completely impossible to do
i explained your only replacement options, if you dont want to follow my directions, then your only other choice is to go buy a new lawnmower

It may not be as easy as just "placing", but if you can solder you can absolutely replace individual or all cells in a lithium/NiMh/LiPo/NiCd pack.

Yes. All you need to do is unplug the four spade connectors on old batteries and swap in the new batteries.

BatteriesPlus rebuilt a couple of rechargeable drill batteries for me on an old drill back before Lithium Ion became popular. Not sure if they could do the same for this or have a replacement for it.

All you have to do is order ML10-12 SLA batteries and swap them out. The ML10-12 battery is often used in Power Wheels, Scooters ect....so you can get them at most any place that sells batteries.
ok, so he has a 24v system using 2 batteries connected together inside of a carrying case. i couldnt see the picture well enough to read the label in his picture.
i think you solved his problem, and im betting many other people will find this very useful info as well.

The WP8 will have smaller battery dimensions and your run time will be reduced by probably 20% or more (guestimate)
If you add in that your going from an OEM Spec battery to cheap China Crap battery replacement. I wouldn't be shocked if your runtime was reduced by 50%

I’m fine with that. Same dimensions too.
I have a green strip that is about 600square feet total.
The rest is natural area.

Additionally looks like one battery is bad.
It pushes 8v
The other pushes 13v

The other pushes 13v

Update.
I put two 8v cabellas deer feeder batteries in it and it cut the whole yard.
Barktavious agrees.

then you just need one battery and you are good to go
what is the number on that battery? buy another battery with that same number and it will be an exact match and size.
if you buy 2 batteries, then you can get the 8ah batteries, but you dont want to mismatch the ah on a set of batteries hooked in series like that
