It's a lot easier to scare women into voting Dem when you can fear monger that the WI government will arrest doctors and nurses for giving a woman an abortion to save her life. Need to take that low hanging political fruit off the table. You can still ban abortions the way planned parenthood wants to promote abortions and still be reasonable to allow abortions under the philosophical/theological principle of "double effect" like in the cases were the mother's life is on the line for ectopic pregnancies.
