The Wisconsin Constitution allows lawmakers to remove state officials "for corrupt conduct in office, or for crimes and misdemeanors," but Knodl has said he would consider launching impeachment proceedings for criminal justice officials "who have failed" at their jobs.

Knodl said he would support invoking the that power against Janet Protasiewicz, the Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge who won a race for a vacant seat on the state Supreme Court. Knodl did not immediately say he would consider voting in favor of impeaching Protasiewicz if she is elected.

Is he trying to wriggle out of campaign promises?

Republicans are too afraid to play the game of thrones.

If Knodl were a commie crat in a commie crat supermajority and Protasiewicz were a Republican you'd better believe a commie crat legislature would swing its big stick around and knock off all the Republicans who managed to win despite their cheating horse shite.

I bet the super majority WI legislature will stand down and not use their powers. Though I'd love to be pleasantly surprised like I was in 2016.

Here is what would happen in your scenario. The Democratic Governor of Wisconsin then appoints their replacement and in the 2024 elections, Republicans would be get rolled in Wisconsin.
