There are a lot of LSU alumni and transplants in other states.

No, but thanks to brain drain, I've seen a fair bit of LSU gear outside the South.

It's not "the" factor for the ratings surge, but, LSU seems to have one of the more fanatical fan bases that watches literally anything featuring an LSU logo on it.

But we have a lot more sports fans than almost any other state. Also, LSU always gets big numbers in nationally televised games. Still, these ratings had a good bit to do with how much attention Clark was getting.
