Reese brought race into. She and morris both said Clark disrespected a SC player, who was black.

Did they say this, or did you add it in?

Reese also said she won this title for people who look like her

I don't really have a problem with that though. "I won this to prove to ghetto kids that they can succeed too" is what her statement boiled down to. Isn't that the message we want to push?

There are plenty of "ghetto" kids that have been successful at not only basketball but other sports as well. So there are plenty of role models out there. It was a poor excuse.

She acted poorly. It happens. Move on.

You can get out of the ghetto if you're good at basketball...or maybe if you can rap...

That's definitely the message we want to push. Not learn to read, write and speak well and try hard in school and everything that you do. Not win/lose with humility and treat other people with respect. No, get good at sports and act a fool if you feel disrespected is the message.

Trying to get into the opponent's head with trash talk during a game is part of sports. After you've won, it's time to show humility and shake the other guy/gal's hand and say "good game", not follow them around calling them a ho and rubbing it in (unless said person was playing dirty). It's insane that we're acting like this is only how white people act and they're forcing our values onto black people. This is understood by 99.99% of athletes across all sports and ethnicities. This is what 99.99% of parent's teach their children from the time they can hold a ball.

The other .01% are sociopaths or narcissists who could give a shite about other people or societal norms.
