MLB teams rarely use their current MLB roster to make draft decisions.
Don’t forget the Astros took Bregman as a shortstop in 2015 having Correa on the roster. While he did move to third it wasn’t the plan from day one. He didn’t play his first game in the minors at third until 2016.

I would usually agree, but I think this is one of the situations where they will take into account MLB roster because both Crews and Skenes will be on a fast track to the MLB. So it will be a near future plan for the MLB team. I think it would be smart for them to take that into account with having those 2 options both likely making a big league roster next season.
