Louisiana Mortgage Rates - Help

I'm currently in the process of looking for a new house in South LA area (Metairie\Kenner\Hammond\Etcc..)
Just wondering if anyone has looked into banks in the area recently for 30 year mortgage rates. Possibly save me some time of getting my credit pulled 30x and shopping around
Anyways, any insight on banks that have been used recently with good rates would be super helpful

Several credit pulls over a month or so period won't have a more negative effect on your score than a single pull. They are lumped together. Otherwise everyone's credit would get wrecked in the home buying process. Get quotes. I have had success with local banks.

Yeah I know. I just hate the whole process of dealing with it all. Was hoping to get 2-3 options from people who had recently gone through my current situation

check out Better.com. they had the lowest rate and closing costs by far and everything was done online except the closing

Find a place north of I-12 if you plan on staying there a long time as insurance rates will only continue to rise south of I-12.

just a heads up, the second that one bank hits your credit, you will get no less than 300 calls. We were looking at a house and had to get preapproved. I got 212 calls in one day. they were beeping in on top of each other. this was about 3 weeks ago. it slacked off after about 2 weeks but i got 50-80 calls a day every day after that first day.

A hard pull is about 2 points. I wouldn't sweat it. If you're that concerned, go directly to Rocket and/or BoA. Use you usual bank as a third comparison point. Mortgage rates aren't going to vary all that much between the majors.
