To be fair, there are also 5, 11, and 21 alpha hydroxylase deficiency kids who can have ambiguous genitalia.


There’s a tiny but important subset that have an x/y chromosome pair, a blind vagina (no uterus), testicles that never descend, and often don’t find out that they’re not girls until they show up in their teens because they’ve never had a period.

That’s a group that could, understandably, be moderately to severely fricked in the head when they figure that out



But it’s not who is being talked about.
