Yes that is true. Tastings I'm sure not full plate servings.

Do the math. If you have a 10 gallon pot, figure you’ll end up with 8 gallons of pastalaya.

16 cups in a gallon
128 cups in 8 gallons

128 ounces in a gallon
1024 ounces in 8 gallons


8 ounces is a cup. A smaller serving is 8 ounces. If you’re going to put a scoop in a bowl, it’s probably going to be about 8 ounces. If you’re putting a large portion on a plate, it’s going to be more.

So a 10 gallon pot will give you about 128 regular one-scoop bowls.

If you’re serving less than a cup, then you’ll have more.
