Arlington, where the Rangers ballpark is located, is a dump so other than the game, not much to see or eat there. There is the Texas Live cluster of bars and restaurants adjacent to the stadium so you can eat at Lockharts bbq or one of the other corporate chains there. I would suggest going to Ft Worth to check out the stockyard area and sundance square downtown. You could hit Goldie's BBQ or Panther city bbq over there. I live in Dallas and do prefer living in Dallas over Ft Worth (And I know plenty of people feel the opposite) but Ft Worth has more tourists oriented things to do.
