Isn't it the most likely answer that it was essentially an in kind contribution to Trump whether it qualified as one by FEC standards or not?
Yes
It wasn't really disputed until just recently.

From what you know is the idea about Cohen paying it for his own interests credible?
I don't know anyone who truly believes this

So there is no dispute from you (who I rank as a very ardent Trump supporter) it was to Trump's benefit and that Trump repaid Cohen one way or another?

I'm just referencing your thing about the affair being with Cohen - I assume you're just saying nobody actually believes this it's just a take that has arisen?

Trump acknowledged that Cohen was reimbursed through a monthly retainer
That was Trump not Rudy

What kind of piss poor lawyer are you?
That WAS Trump
And Cohen authorized HIS LAWYER to say he wasnt paid

It reads pretty clear. Trump didn't micromanage and Cohen acted on his own. Pretty much blows up any hope to establish criminal intent.

The alleged crime is in the reimbursement, which Rudy states happened (and you didn't address)

Maybe you're right. Maybe you don't have to prove intent for it to become a criminal act. It's entirely possible that Trump could be charged for doing something he had no knowledge of.

People think billionaires live like normal people. They don't they hire people to do things for them and so they can enjoy their wealth. People don't understand - remember when his tax returns were going to be so bad - like he is sitting there doing his taxes.

Do you still think Trump is a Democrat plant?

I remember watching this when it happened. Good times
No one gives a crap that Trump may have cheated with the porn star as a private citizen, or that he paid her to keep quiet. Trying to criminalize this incident is what’s shocking, especially considering the outrageous double standard.
Cuz I remember (among dozens of obverse examples) when Hillary Clinton was belatedly and with much investigation to have been found to have paid her lawyer, Perkins Coie, to collude with a Russian and a Brit to concoct a false dossier against Trump.
This dossier and a complicit justice department locked the country in a quagmire of scandalous false allegations against Trump which brought about a Special Prosecutor, nearly caused his impeachment, and resulted in jail time for many of his team for process crimes, with Biden as an accessory after the fact.
As Vito Corleone once (para)said, “We didn’t know until that moment that it was Hillary all along.”

What? No.
I'm not a fan of his Democrat-esque leftism, though

I'm telling you right now IF the grand jury in NYC comes back with an indictment, it will deal almost exclusively with the repayment-reimbursement portion of the behaviors. Those repayments will be from a company Trump owns, too.

I thought for sure you made a thread about a month ago thinking that Donald Trump was put there by democrats.
totally agree with you about not being a fan of his big government ways.

If I did, then it was a joke. I don't remember that specific thread, though.

It's NYC. I think we can both agree Trump will most likely be indicted irregardless of the evidence or legal standard. OMB.
