GM is careful to exclude pickup trucks from their EV-only push. They will make EV pickups, but they are not abandoning ICE trucks.

In fact they just recently announced the release plans of the next generation small block V8 that will be used well into the 2030s.

They all exclude trucks. There's almost no development in the EV truck market other than 1/2 tons. There's been more for school buses, line trucks, things like that than 3/4-1 ton type vehicles. Also, I've heard zero plans to phase out gas options for 1/2 tons.

Yes, especially GMC. Buick on the other hand will be all electric by 2030 or so. I understand Cadillac will lean heavily towards electric also
