You'd have prefered the vax be delivered on a 5-10yr timeframe?

No. I'd preferred that it had never been delivered at all and certainly not at tax payer expense and totally immune to any lawsuit. Not sure how the Trump fanboys defend him on this one?

Trump was not going to win 2020, if it took another million "harvested" votes. Nope.
What do you think would have happened after 1/20/21 if there was no "vaccine" anywhere close to being ready to distribute?
You didn't have to take it, or your wife, or your children.
You could be assured there would have been no mandates to take it if he had won.

So shutdowns, by-and-large, would have remained widely in place for another 18 months and CV19 would have taken at least an extra 150K-200K lives.

CV19 in early 2021 was predominated by the Alpha variant (B.1.1.7). People who carry your attitude either forget Alpha was roughly twice as lethal as today's variants. Either that, or you never knew it to begin with. The initial vax was also far more effective against it than today's vax is against the currently predominant Omicron descendants (XBB.1.5).

But were it not for the vax, some state-level Potatobrain sycophants could have kept swaths of the US shutdown for years.

Hindsight is normally 20/20. Yours is impaired.

Vaccines have been legally immune since the 1980s. Trump didn't do that.
