I have a good idea. Let them keep ten cents for each dollar of taxes, or fees that they cut. I don’t like giving them something for nothing, but we’d come out way ahead.

They also get a $160 per diem. That would raise total compensation to between $30,000 and $44,000 for a 3-6 month part time job. Not OT rich money, but not a bad side gig along with all of the “free” stuff they probably get from lobbyists. Also, the ones who represent me were very wealthy before they ran. I’m sure they knew the low pay beforehand, yet they still ran for the position. I wonder what attracted them to want such a low paying job?
