If this was 25 years ago, I’d care. As it stands, ESPN is only good for live sports. SVP at night is about as close as it gets to old school SportsCenter.
The glory days are gone. The personalities used to be big:
Dan Patrick
Stewart Scott
Linda Cohn
Craig Kilborn
Gary Miller
Charlie Steiner
Rich Eisen
Brian Kenny
John Anderson
Kenny Mayne
I could go on. Some of these still work for the network, but the format has changed, and they’ve been forced to change with it. Just look at what happened to Keith Olbermann.
