She's really a junior. I don't know why players continue to be shown as being a year under what they actually are. The COVID extra year is an optional year tacked on. She did not magically become a year younger in college.

That's why people keep asking. They think of her as what she really is, a junior, and they wonder if she's coming back. To which I say, I can't imagine why she'd leave for the WNBA, when she's probably making just as much in NIL funds. The WNBA has no interest, and therefore does not pay much at all. I guess there might be some question as to whether or not she returns for her 5th year after that, but I don't know of any female athlete in any sport that has left college after less than 4 years. Maybe Gymnastics or Golf, or something, as the top players/athletes in those sports can actually make some decent money competing professionally, and around the world.

Chari Collier of Texas did it because she was eligible to do so because of her age when she was drafted in the WNBA.
