A CNN correspondent in San Francisco to report on the city’s “rampant street crime” had her rental car broken into Friday — even with hired security tasked with watching the vehicle.

“Got robbed. Again,” Kyung Lah tweeted after the break-in with a picture of the car’s shattered rear-view window.
quote:

“We had security to watch our rental car + crew car. Thieves did this in under 4 seconds. This is ridiculous,” she wrote.
quote:

The CNN crew made the nearly 400-mile trip from Los Angeles to cover “voter discontent because of rampant street crime.”

My favorite... After 9/11, you'll recall now having to have ID when you fly [unlike up until then when it didn't matter and you could buy second-hand tickets].

quote:

Lah lost her ID and passport in the robbery, which would have prevented her from flying home in any other circumstance.

“Bc so many people get their cars broken into and their bags stolen, @SouthwestAir was very used to my lack-of-ID problem and smoothly gave me my ticket after a brief security check,” she said.

Wonder how they did that...

PS - You don't see Safelite complaining..

Nevermind the car, she's got some explaining to do at CNN for trying to conduct actual journalism (assuming she wasn't planning to blame white Supremacy or Trump).

Wow, what a racist to notice that her car had been broken into. The person who broke into it probably hasn't had a meal in weeks because of systemic racism. Breaking into the car of an oppressor is a form of reparations

Broken into with hired security? What were the security folks doing while the car was being broken into? Given that this happened in San Francisco, I suspect that I already know the answer.

She’s lucky they didn’t have a soup kitchen in it.

Surprised she didn't report that the street crime was a myth.

The Democrats want to know why she is complaining.
