Probably making a move this year and packing some things up this weekend. I never use them but feels weird letting them go.

Yearbooks no.

But I have college notebooks for 25 years that I should have.

I like looking through them, especially where people signed. Then I will randomly send a FB message to an old classmate letting them know that I did indeed "stay cool" through the years.

You got me wondering so I had to go check. They are from college. I’m keeping them. Thanks

One day, just maybe...

You will be faced with a death in the family or of a friend, that your yearbook pics may offer some value.

As an example.

Don't underestimate the total value of a yearbook, in the middle years, for what you think the value is today.

I would keep them. I use mine to go through before a class reunion so I can remember some of their names. Some of them changed so much I still dont recognize them.

I had a great high school experience so its always fun to go back and reminisce.

A kid from my elementary school signed another kid’s yearbook and called him a fig in it. I would pay money to have that copy. The school went into absolute chaos over the incident.

Isn't that the point? That's pretty much the one thing you purchase specifically not to throw away with time.

Did you purchase them to look at during just that school year?

I always liked looking at my parents’ yearbooks too, but don’t have a clue where mine are. Probably in a box with theirs I guess.

I think i still have mine somewhere. I'd keep them just to browse through them with your kids etc

We bought a new house and I left all that stuff behind. I also left behind several open reel master tapes, LPs, 45s and videotapes.
The records and videos that cared about I burned onto cdrs and dvdrs.
The reel tapes in transferred to RDATs and kept. But I wish I’d kept the reels.

Yearbooks are useless for me.
