They are employed. I don’t think they actually “work” anymore.


French labor laws are fricked, especially with regards to severance pay. It was more cost effective to keep a factory open producing shite that didn’t really sell than to have to pay out severance to all the people who would be laid off if they just closed the damn thing. Which worked until the company went bankrupt.
