A massive economic boost like Buccees should not be delayed because of bullshite red tape like this. 6 and 12 month studies before construction can even begin?! Does the state realize how ridiculous that is?

1) they do not care

2) and this is even worse, but other areas are jealous of it going to Ruston and are trying to ruin it.

Our politicians and government officials should be trying to find ways to move constructive UP 6 months, not back 6 months.

Not far from me DOTD took three years to rebuild a bridge 8/10-mile long on a country back road highway. Three freaking years. This was just the actual demolition and construction phase, not the traffic study. It obviously didn’t inconvenience thousands of people on a daily basis but it did make life inconvenient for us.
