Lewis Grizzard was a treasure. I read his columns and read all his books. Try placing yourself in his place and time and you will have a deeper understanding. I legitimately mourned when he died, especially after reading about his deepest fears with his heart issues.

His column ran in the Shreveport Times, and I read and enjoyed them as a kid. Good stuff. Dude was only 47 when he kicked.
