The fact of the matter is that he’s a ridiculously high level athlete playing QB but isn’t a particularly elite QB.

Once the athleticism wanes he’s done.

The Ravens have consistently been one of the most well run franchises over the last 30 years. Their decision making with Lamar Jackson might be the wisest of them all. They basically got the best 5 years of Lamar’s career for pennies and are smart enough not to lose half the roster to unnecessarily pay for the worst 5 years of his career.

If Lamar Jackson couldn’t get you a Super Bowl with tons of cap space to build around him, how is he going to with a depleted roster surrounding him?

The injuries are piling up. If Jackson sits out a year to avoid being tagged it’ll turn out to be a massive mistake.

It sounds like Jackson was pushing for $300 mill guaranteed.
